I had a late night and had to get up early this morning, so I felt tired and negative. I also dreamed a lot, which explains some of the tiredness. Dreams you can recall when you wake up usually occurs during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. This is a mentally active period. So even though you are asleep, your mind is active. I have read somewhere that people suffering from depression dream up to 7 times more than other people. This is why they feel so tired in the morning and cannot seem to get going.

Well, at least after some stimulants (cigarettes and coffee) I am working and writing this post. A bad way to start the day, but there it is. Wish I could get rid of the smoking habit. Cigarettes are a man-made evil.

I am planning to write some content for my blog about coping with depression and anxiety in the near future. At the moment there are only two posts on the page. I hope to do some research and come up with a mix of personal experience and interesting information.
